ATVA Technology

The ATVA™ Technology is in its concrete form a vibration absorbing unit that is integrated into an impacting machine. The ATVA™ unit creates an immediate counter movement to the impacts (“hits”) of the machine. These counter movements absorb the vibrations in an automatic way, irrespective of the frequency of the vibrations. In a way, it “tunes in” with the actual frequencies, just as one musician tunes in with another musician.

In its present form, the ATVA™ unit is a cylinder that is attached to, more precisely around an impacting machine, see photo from film below.

The ATVA™ unit in its first version was presented in 2007. During nine years of tests and gradual improvements the RISE research team presented improved models that the stone workers and the quarry technicians tested and evaluated. Finally, in 2016, a well-functioning ATVA™ unit was approved by the users and manufactured in prototype versions. These prototypes, of which one is used with a robot, are in continuous use since April 2016.

In 2020, the tests were considered conclusive: ATVA™ is a proven technology, ready to be presented and commercialised.
